IP Transit service benefits

Our customers demand good customer service, reliability and low latency from their IP Transit service and so this is our top focus. We own our whole network from the duct up and it is all one contiguous modern network. This means that you can buy exactly the same service in, for example, Warsaw as you can in Rome, Madrid and Stockholm and still expect the same level of quality.
Our IP Transit service is available from 10Mbps to 10Gbps Ethernet. We also support SDH interfaces up to 2.5Gbps.
Automated Denial of Service Response
Interoute’s IP Transit includes a useful tool to allow customers to black hole traffic destined to a particular IP address or route. If there is a persistent DoS attack, the customer can trigger a response by the Interoute network
Value Added Services - BGP Communities
Interoute has a range of informational and traffic manipulation communities that help customers create routing policies. ‘Informational Communities’ tag each route with information about where Interoute received it:
• The peering exchange it came from 
• Country of origin 
• Type of route 
The Traffic Manipulation Communities allow customers to change how Interoute advertises a route to the rest of the world by setting ‘Prepend’ or ‘Do Not Advertise’ communities to the routes.
The BGP Communities option is available as a complete package.
Customer Portal
Customers have access to our customer portal where they can download their traffic usage stats, monitor Interoute’s network performance and raise trouble tickets.
Partial Transit
Some of our customers have multiple upstream IP Transit services from different providers. They are looking to augment their connectivity by increasing performance to particular locations and to lower their over cost per Meg of Transit Traffic. Interoute can provide a range of partial transit options to suit many different needs. Our most popular package is “EuroTransit” which consists of our best routes, which are customers and peers. This is half the price of full global IP Transit and therefore lowers our customers’ overall costs and average latency. Please to talk to one of our consultants for more information.
Billing
There are several billing options to choose from:
• Per Mbps 95th Percentile usage where the customer’s top 5% peak usage in 5 minute intervals over the month period is ignored allowing the customer to handle occasional added demand to burst without being charged for it 
• Per Mbps 95th Percentile Committed level + Burst where the customer commits to a level of bandwidth and is charged at the 95th percentile for the excess usage 
• Flat rate allowing the customer to budget costs more tightly 
• Per GigaByte volume usage allowing customers to pay for exactly how much data they transfer 
Many of our customers take services from us in multiple locations around our network. They may choose to have their usage aggregated over all their connections. This can be a very efficient way of managing costs.
